Rufus (Latin for "Red") took after his dam Misty and got his name for being the only red and white of his litter. Shown a few times as a puppy, Rufus waited a long time before coming out in the Summer of 2006 and winning a major in his first show. In only a few weekends of showing he quickly picked up points and needed only a major to finish, but illness led to his premature retirement.
